The Public Works Department is a combination of several divisions. Street maintenance, Building Services, Park Maintenance, Garbage, Trash & Recycling. Business Hours are 7 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. After hour emergencies call the Hoover Police Dept. Dispatcher at 444-7640 and they will contact one of our supervisors.

We strive to keep the city streets & parks clean and well maintained. Our work schedules include replacing damaged street markers and regulatory signs on City Streets, paving and patching all City streets, mowing grass along city right-of –ways, displaying flags and Christmas decorations, litter control, mosquito control, sewer problems in Riverchase, Southlake and Inverness, cleaning and maintenance of all City parks. We also do maintenance on all City owned buildings.
